🔥 Firestick Setup Guides
There are two versions of the app. Choosing the correct one is important.
⚠️ Gen 2 notice: Some older Firesticks (Gen 2) cannot run the newer app.
If the wrong version is installed, streams may crash, buffer, or fail to play.

1. Install Downloader
- From the Fire TV home screen, open Find 🔍.
- Search for Downloader.
- Download and install the Downloader app.

2. Enable Developer Options
- Open Settings ⚙️.
- Select My Fire TV (or Device & Software on some models).
- Scroll down and select About.
- Highlight your Fire TV device name.
- Press the Select button on your remote 7 times quickly.
You will see the message:
You are now a developer.
Press
Back and
Developer Options will now appear in the menu.

3. Allow Downloader to Install Apps
- From My Fire TV, open Developer Options.
- Select Install Unknown Apps (or Apps from Unknown Sources on older versions).
- Select Downloader.
- Toggle it On.
- Select Allow if prompted.

4. Choose the Correct App
WizardTV
✅ Newer Firesticks & Android Devices
Try this version first on most devices.

If the app above crashes, buffers constantly, or streams do not play, install this version instead.

5. Install the App Using Downloader
- Open the Downloader app.
- Enter the correct Downloader code.
- Wait for the download to finish.
- Select Install.
- Select Open when complete.

This warning appears because the Gen 2 app is designed for older versions of Android.

6. Configure the App (Newer Devices)

- When asked to select a panel, select Main.
- Enter your username and password.
- Select Login.
Add Backup Account
- Select the Account icon on the bottom bar (second from the end).
- Select Backup.
- Select Update Login.

Enter your username
The username is the SAME as the Main account

Enter your password
The password is the SAME as the Main password with Wiz added to the END
Capital W is required
Example:
Main password:

Backup password:
John193673Wiz
You can now switch between Main and Backup using the Account icon.

7. Configure the Gen 2 App (Older Devices)

- Open the app.
- Select whether you are using TV or Mobile and click Save.
- On the login screen, in the Any Name field enter Main.
- Enter your username and password.
- Select Add User.
Add Backup Account
- In the top right corner select the Accounts icon.
- Select Add User.
- In the Any Name field enter Backup.

The username is the SAME as the Main account

The password is the SAME as the Main password with Wiz added to the END
Capital W is required
- Select Add User.

You can now switch between Main and Backup using the Accounts icon.

8. VLC for Gen 2 (Install + Default Player)
Older Firesticks (Gen 2) require
VLC Player for
HEVC streams.
Without VLC, streams may buffer or fail to play.
Install VLC (Gen 2 Only)
- From the Fire TV home screen, open Find 🔍.
- Search for VLC.
- Download and install VLC.
Set VLC as Default Player (Gen 2 App Only)
- Open the Gen 2 app.
- Go to Settings on the top right bar.
- Select Player Selection.
- Select Add Player.
- Select VLC.
- Confirm by selecting Add.
- Set VLC for Live TV, Movies, Series, and Catch-up.
- Press Back, then Back again.
- Open Live TV, Movies, or Series and allow downloads if prompted.

9. Fixes (Login Issues)
Clear App Cache & Data
If you are having issues logging in and you have one of the apps in
Step 4 (WizardTV or WizardTV Gen2) installed and it was working previously, try clearing the app cache and data to reset the app.
- From the Fire TV home screen, navigate to Settings.
- Select Applications.
- Select Manage Installed Applications.
- Scroll and select the WizardTV app.
- Select Force Stop to stop the app from running.
- Select Clear Cache to remove temporary files that may be causing issues.
- Select Clear Data to remove all data associated with the app, including login information and settings.
- Confirm when prompted, then press Back and reopen the app.
⚠️ You’ll need to sign in to the app again after clearing its data.
After reopening the app:
- If you’re using the newer app, follow Step 6 to log in again.
- If you’re using the Gen 2 app, follow Step 7 to log in again.

10. Fixes (Uninstall Old Apps)
If you are not using one of the apps shown in
Step 4, uninstall the app you currently have installed.
Removing old apps can also fix crashes, login issues, and free up storage space.
Method 1: Uninstall via Settings
- From the Home screen, go to Settings ⚙️ (gear icon).
- Select Applications.
- Select Manage Installed Applications.
- Scroll and select the app you want to remove.
- Select Uninstall.
- Confirm by selecting Uninstall again.
Method 2: Uninstall from the Home Screen
- Go to the Home screen and open Your Apps & Channels.
- Highlight the app you want to delete.
- Press the Menu button (☰) on your remote.
- Select Uninstall.
- Confirm by selecting Uninstall again.
✅ After uninstalling, go back to
Step 4 and install the correct WizardTV version.
